We use one of these via an adapter (1 1/4" Prius hitch to standard 2" hitch) to carry trash barrels to the dump, mower to the shop, etc. Wheelchair and Mobility Scooter Hitch Carrier - Aluminum The problem is that that it sags ... a lot. We cut back the steel receiver on the carrier to compensate some of the sag from the adapter - but does anyone have suggestions as to how we might provide a little lift to keep the trailing edge from bottoming-out? It just occurred to me that I used to use a height-adapter with the variety of 2" trailers I had in the past (different vehicle) so I looked & found this 1 1/4" - 2" adapter with 4" rise: MaxxTow Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter - 1-1/4" (Class II) to 2" Hitch - 4-1/2" Rise MaxxTow Hitch Accessories MT70355 I'm guessing I'll have to use bungee cords to absorb the side to side wobble but this should eliminate the bottom-out problem!
