Just curious. I just noticed this light recently. It's so weird. Because when I had my car, I stayed during the night times in it and never noticed the blinking red immobilizer light. I didn't notice any blinking light at all when the car was off. And now it shows up as it it was always there. Blinking away. It's so weird because I was thinking to myself. "I want to install a blinking red LED light just to ward off would be thiefs." And now I have one. I asked my co-worker who owns a Corrolla if he has one. He says no way. if there was a blinking red light, he would have noticed it by now. And what do you know, he has a blinking red light.
Weird, that's all. I was wanting to buy and install red blinking LED lights and yet I never noticed a red blinking light. Toyota apparently installed it there exactly for the purpose of why I wanted to get one in the first place. I read other forum members came upon this confusion as well at some point.
