If I missed it, Sorry, but didn't PriusChat have a new Prius Owner Readme-First topic? It should be made a Forum to list all the basics. I searched, but couldn't find, when you lightly press the brake to Regen the battery, can you feel a spot of the brake pedal where it starts Friction braking? I can't feel any. Also, are there different levels of brake Regen? Does PriusChat have an explaination of how the Prius Transmission works? I remember a few years ago a diagram of gears connected to the MGs, ICE and drive shaft. Is it still part of the Prius? Why doesn't the MFD, multi-function display, show both MGs, MG1 & MG2? They have different functions.
First, welcome to the elite club of Prius owners, and the even more elite Magnetic Grey club. Now, I can't answer all your questions, but I can answer this one: Which threads to read first? All the "sticky" ones. Also, check in the Technical sub-forum, they have a lot of good things there.
perhaps we could make a "sticky" thread for that... as i remember, we used to have either a sticky or a thread with a checklist to take to the dealer when picking up your new Prius, and i haven't seen those threads around in a while either, but they were very helpful for me when purchasing my car... B)
