I got a used 2005 prius, 30k, at 35 it will due for it's first oil change since i've had it. I have also purchased the 100k warranty.

Is it best to bring it to a dealer for the routine maintenance?

You can take it to the dealer, or do it yourself. If you do the latter, be sure to keep the receipts to show you did the maintenance at the proper time.

The car doesn't require much, usually oil & filter changes. Don't fall for the dealer's service schedule. Here's Galaxee's list.

I'm happy with our local Toyota dealer. They just do what I want with no argument, and they always have coupons both in the mail and on their website for oil changes ect. So it really doesn't cost anymore than Jiffy Lube ect.
