I am looking at two options right now, looking for your feedback- which one is a better deal (or if both are bad)? Option 1: 2012 Prius 4 94k miles. Navigation, backup camera, heated seats. 2 owners, 2 minor accidents (airbag didn't deploy), carfax shows a regular maintenance record until 2015. Out of the door price: $10,200 Option 2: 2013 Prius 3 81k miles. Navigation, backup camera. I didn't get to see carfax of this vehicle. According to the dealer, it has a "clean carfax", one owner, new tire. Out of the door price: $12,500 Opinion?
As JC said, very skimpy info here. Perhaps most important are the condition and service records of the cars. But from what's here, again as JC said, #1 is a no-brainer. Best of all, the Four has significantly better seats for long-distance comfort.
Thanks JC and Tony for your feedbacks. I just added a few more info in the original post. Can you suggest what other info should I care about? Tonycd, is that true for all three vs four trims regardless of year? In my list, the four is one year older than the three. Are there any more major differences between four and three besides seats?
are you going to test drive before buying? what about service history? maybe take to toyota for a thorough check? how are the tires?
get vin numbers and login to Toyota Owners Official Web Site and add the car to your profile you should be able to see all toyota service records there
