Hey, long time lurker, first time poster... So I searched and keep getting conflicting results as to which USB interface I need to use my iPod in my Prius. Here's what I have, and what I want to do: Have: 2010 Prius III JBL head unit with (larger screen) Nav and backup camera Want: To hook up my iPod via Apple cable Steering controls to work iPod (skip etc) Play music and keep it charged at the same time I don not use satellite radio and don't care if the interface causes it not to work. A part number or link to a product would be ideal, thanks in advance.
I have a 2010 II, non JBL, no NAV and I used a PAC Audio ISTY571 before I got a 2012 head unit installed and it does everything you want.
And it will work with the JBL with nav? I've been told that the nav can cause issues with some interface kits.
I honestly can't say. The adapter shows up as SAT3 by default if I recall correctly. But it can be configured in several modes (CD changer, DVD changer). I would call Pac Audio technical support if I were you. They have been extremely helpful when I have called them.
