I am buying a 2004 prius that has always been registered in California. I live in Vegas and will register the car in Nevada. Will I have the 8 year or 10 year warranty? I don't have the warranty manual yet so I cannot look. Thanks.
Unless I am mistaken, Nevada is a non carb state. The way it works, the car has to be bought initially in a carb state. It also has to be registered AND operated in a carb state for the extended 10/150 warranty to apply. Since Nevada is NOT a carb state, the standard 8/100 should apply to the hybrid components. Hope this info helps you and welcome to Prius Chat! Ron
I moved from a CARB to a non-CARB state a few years ago and I believe that the warranty works the way that Ron said.
