I just installed Whispbar (flush bars) on my 2012 Prius. I had the Yakima round style rack system on it before, and the Whispbars are so much better. The Whispbars are much quieter and don't seem to catch wind drafts like the Yakima rack did. I drove it for about 100 miles while tracking the mpg. Have driven a combination of highway and city, and I'm seeing 57mpg so far. It may be because I've been driving while being overly conscious about fuel efficiency. Wanted to know what others with Whispbar are experiencing. So far I'm optimistic that the Whispbar will not affect fuel efficiency very much (if at all).
Till ya put something on top of them, then down she goes, I've put a Yakima Skybox 16 and talk about noise also have a Thule aluminum basket they but badly effect gas mileage.
