I voted other and my choice is Mojo. Why? The hype and lies of the AGW's have not dissuaded him one bit from care and concern over the environment. Just think of what we could have accomplished with all that wasted money.
I don't have a favorite enviromentalist. There are many people that I have great respect for. John Muir is an icon. His writings and his work to save Yosemite insure his place in environmental history. Oh yes he also founded the Sierra Club. Chico Mendes gave his life for his beliefs. Thoreau's essay Civil Disobedience is still ingrained in the green movement. Another pioneer is Rachel Carson who wrote Silent Spring. Her book raised awareness about pesticide use and was instrumental in the creation of the E.P.A. A book written in the 1970s by E.F. Shumacher (Small is Beautiful) predicted the need for sustainability and the folly of overconsumption. There are too many others to mention, including the famous and the rank and file.
"Other" for Richard Nixon: Clean Air Act, creation of EPA, Coastal Zone Management Act, the Ocean Dumping Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act, the Federal Insecticide, Fungide, Rodenticide Act, and the Toxic Substances Control Act, Endangered Species Act, Safe Drinking Water Act.
One of these days when I do a home makeover, I want to implement some of the things on Living with Ed. Chose Ed because he does it because he believes in it and not for bringing attention to himself (Read: Al Gore) We have and will continue to argue about AGW, but who can question that efficient homes and cars save money and have a better resale value?
Ed's a good guy and I enjoy his show but Erin is all about clean drinking water, helping the common man, and she looks great in a blouse.
It seems she's into clean drinking water so she can mix it with scotch. Erin Brockovich arrested while boating in Nevada - Celebrity news - Boston.com
I like Ed too but I do think he's wound a little tight. Nevertheless, he is right on one thing, it was "found out."
