People differ in ability of 'skin in the mouth' to withstand high temperature. You and I lost the lottery on that. It is possible or likely related to a very minor autoimmune condition. Merely an inconvenience by itself. Attend to other matters of your overall health. What I can't avoid? Mini-lectures like this.
Chugging cold water on a hot body (chronic-cardio, endurance sports guy here) and triggering a bout of A-fib. Even worse is the fix - chugging a glass of warm cayenne pepper/water to zap the heart beat back to normal. I'm getting better about this in the last few years but am absolutely on the slow learners curve. Dumb-nice person...
