Why is Ready Mode stays on after start?

    Normally the ready mode goes off once you start the car. But today, for the first time since I owned my Prius 3, the ready mode light remains on AFTER my car started and running. Is this normal? What to do to fix it?

    it is normal, you just never noticed it. a lot of people come here saying the flashing alarm light started after they shut the car off, and swear they never saw it for years before that.
