Apparently, a lot of local city & county agencies are purchasing Prii for their motor pools. The New Jersey article mentions a $4K rebate, and the Charleston article mentions they're getting their Prii for $19K. I was interested in the comment in the Dallas News about a Prius not being suitable as a police pursuit or patrol vehicle; they apparently need to be able to go 130 MPH for that job. Is that the main criteria for police cars?
