:cheer2:We had to travel 25 miles to a dealer in another county as our local dealer had no cars to test drive, the other had one and one other on the lot. Both said they are getting new stock in next week.
She loved the car, said it handled good, had enough power to get on the interstate, comfortable and had a good ride.
The only negative things I felt were the ride was a little rough, she drives a Rav4 I drive a MB so there is why there is a difference of opinion, I also did not like the rear window but all this is moot as I will not be driving this car. I also thought it was a little slow off the line unless you pushed the power button, but that probably due to the way I drive. When I asked her what she liked about the car she said everything, impressed with the gear selector, instrument panel, controls etc. when I asked her what she didn't like she said nothing.
She will buy a Prius for the following reasons.
1 Price, it is within her budget and no other car in this price range she looked at impressed her.
2 Gas mileage, she only drives 14 miles a day right now but if she were offered a job with a 80 mile compute she would probably use up most of a salary increase in the cost of gas with her present car,
She also realizes that the price of gas will probably hit $5.00 a gallon before too long.
3 Size, inside and out, suits her well with enough cargo space and back seat room if she needs it, also she will be alone in this car 90% of the time.
4 Last but not least she really likes the car and thinks it's real cool.
When asked what other cars she would like to test drive the answer was none.
Case closed the winner is Prius.

Do you know what model you drove, and what model and options you want to buy (e.g., sunroof)?

No, that's deliberate. On ECO mode the first half of the pedal push is soft...you need to push all the way down on that mode to get some zip.

You should try EV mode in a parking lot. Absolutely no sound as you glide along. Very cool.

Not sure what trim it was but it had Nav package with rear view camera. All she wants is a Prius II when she makes up her mind to buy it.
Both salesmen told us the follow their web sites for what is coming in as most of their sales come before they get their inventory delivered.
We are not a large market area to they don't get a lot of cars in.
Thats OK with me as my wife may come home tonight and say she wants to drive something else even though as of Oct. 16th 2009 @ 8:57 AM here choice is a Prius, but that could change. I hope not as the last time we bought her a car we test drove just about every car in her price range till she finally chose the Rav 4, I don't want to go through that again, if I can get her into a Prius soon I hope to avoid that.

Well, at least she does her homework. Better to change your mind BEFORE you make the purchase. :)

Around here, the Package III's and IV"s are a lot easier to get than a package II or V. When I got mine I was able to put a deposit down at a few places and then bought the one that matched my wish list best and came in soonest.

    Happy hybrid hunting!
