My wonderful 2010 silver Prius made a new aquaintence a week ago...........he ran smack into a 5 ft length of tire tread that a truck had deposited on the Interstate. It knocked my Toyota emblem off the bumper and scratched up the area around the grill. The 2012 Prius has a grill inset into the bumper that is different than the 2010.......it has sort of a lip that covers the portion of the bumper just above the grill. Do any of you know if the 2012 grill will fit the 2010? I can't find it listed with the on-line parts suppliers. Thanks, Larry
Hey Larry, I want to know if the entire 12 bumper skin will fit a 10. I would replace it in a heart-beat. So, you want to give it a shot?
Thanks for the replies. Does the new bumper and grill mean that they will not fit the 2010 though? I know that the 2012 is different, but just looking at the photos it looks like the junction of bumper to fenders and hood is the same. If all they changed is the plastic bumper skin them I'm wondering if it might fit? Of course, that would make things too easy!!~ Larry
I am hoping they will fit and usually Toyota is pretty good about not changing dimensions that much. Guess we will just have to see. There are 10-11 skins on ebay. I asked the seller when the 12s would be available and they didn't have an ETA.
