    All,

The driver armrest of my 07 Prius to too low to use and also steer the car, so I rest my elbow on the window/door panel edge (with the window closed). However, it Squeeks.

If I press the door panel down and release, I get the squeek on the driver and passenger doors.
The dealer checked it during my 5000 mile checkup, but he didn't know what to do.

Anyone else with the same problem?
Anyone ever take the door panel off? Any tips?

    Thanks,
    Ken R

I had the exact same problem. I took it to the dealer and the service guy said he used a Toyota squeak and rattle kit to fix the problem. Said he tried it once but the squeak was still there, so took off the door panel and applied more stuff (don't have the repair slip in front of me and I don't remember the exact name). Squeak is now gone.

    Good luck,
    Craig

I thought it was just me, but I sometimes put my arm on the top of the window and it does squeak. I stopped putting my arm in the window, since I ate sqeaks more than low gas mileage.

The interior plastic door panel comes off fairly easily, Search and you will find directions. I've noticed this too, but have been too lazy to take action. I suspect it is the molded plastic ridges on the inside of the panel. Some foam and/or silicone spray should take care of the squeak.
