I have a 2012 Plug in prius and the window control box is not working to roll down any of the windows except the driver window. The control box buttons on the driver door are flashing for all of them except the driver. When I go to the control box for the individual door they kind of work. They roll down the window but then rolling them up it stops halfway and I need to gently touch them to make them roll up the rest. The individual door buttons are flashing as well.
I *think* this is it just telling you it needs to "relearn" the window positions if I remember correctly. I think you just need to go to each window control and put the window all the way up then continue to hold the window up button for a few seconds then put the window all the way down and hold the down button for a few seconds.
Yeah, this isn't some computers-gone-haywire story, this is computers doing just what their programming says in order to tell you something. You have to kind of Vulcan mind-meld with whoever put that diagram in the repair manual before it starts to make sense. The "normal output" shown on the left is saying that the LEDs normally come on with the car power and stay on for around 45 seconds after power off (during that grace period where you can still say "oops, forgot to roll the windows up"), except that the LEDs for the non-driver switches go out if you push the lock button. That seems to be one example where you need a lot fewer than 1,000 words to say the same thing the picture is saying. The blinky patterns on the right just mean the controller needs to be reminded where 'up' is for each window. The safety backoff feature works when the window is moving and it detects resistance, and it isn't fully up (of course it detects resistance when it's fully up, it hits the top of the door then). So for it to decide whether it needs to safety-backoff or not, it needs to know where fully-up is. That's kept in memory, but some things can make it forget. To teach it again, you just have to go to each window (by its own local switch, not the driver's door master one) and roll it all the way down (hold the button for a bit extra), then roll it all the way up (and hold the button for a bit extra).
