I was reading the Toyota new car features pdf for the 2006 model, which states "The acoustic film is provided as the inner layer of the laminated glass for the front windshield glass, thus ensuring quietness." Can this be verified by owners of the 'old glass' that have driven with the newer glass? Upon a windshield replacement, do you think that you would have to request the quieter glass, or has the old stuff been superceeded?
