Windshield Rearview Mirror Mount Question

    I have a 2010 Prius with the factory autodimming mirror. The windshield has a black strip which hides the wires running to the headliner. My question is about the windshield mount for the mirror. Can it be taken off or adjusted? It seems that mine is off some to the left which makes the black cover running to the headliner not look straight. Any help?

    I suggest you visit a local auto glass repair place to see if they can remove the windshield mount and re-bond it to the glass. They may be reluctant to try that on the basis that the safety glass may crack.
