I'd like to pick up some snow tires (mounted on wheels) for my 2020 prius. Any recommendations of specific tires, and places to shop for them?
I put Mich. xice snow on the factory wheels, and bought some nice black aftermarket wheels to put summers on.
I have a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks on my 2011 Prius and Michelin X-Ice on my 2015 (both sets from Costco). No complaints about either snow tire. For rims, I found one set of Prius wheels here on PriusChat and the other Prius wheels I picked up from a car salvage lot.
A 2nd vote for the Bridgestone Blizzaks. I put them in my wife's Corolla a few years ago and very impressed. (Didn't get the studs but you can have them added....they have the spots already made in the treads for them.)
Michelin X-Ice Snow, on: Corolla steel rim, part no: 42611-02471 (2003-2008 corolla or matrix, CE, LS, S) steel rim lug nuts, part no: 90942-01007 (plain, open-ended, galvanized)
@Rob43 did a wonderful service starting this thread in Sept 2019 GET YOUR DEDICATED SNOW TIRES NOW !!! | PriusChat it gets better and better the further into the thread you read. Know in advance Rob hasn't posted here for a long while now. civic lugs, both regular open ended and the longer capped lugs also fit Prius /w steelies. And maybe some other honda model lug nuts will fit as well. the thread size of the lugs is M12 x 1.5 The Honda wheels don't fit because the bolt pattern is different from the prius bolt pattern of 5x100
If getting OEM steelies sure, get OEM lugs too. Nothing says lovin like OEM when it's the right choice. Would having added aftermarket steelies been sufficient? What's the price on new OEM corolla steelies and lugs these days anyway?
