Does anyone have experience wiring a PAC switch in the 2010 Prius? I've searched for info on it and can't find anything and I'm hoping to attempt my install this Wednesday. Appreciate any help. Kevin
I could not find anything googling for PAC switch either, (this thread is the top two hits on google) but googling for 'SWI-PS' found this. (no clue why I googled for that) PAC SWI-PS Steering wheel control interface for Pioneer, Jensen, and Sony at Crutchfield.com That page has a toll free number for advice on how to install it based on make and model of the car, (which we know) and make and model of the stereo. (which we don't)
Crutchfield's web really sucks, the vehicle compatibility database looks to be quite outdated - specifically 2010 model related.
Steering wheel control : It works exactly the same way in prius gen3 as in gen2. How can I say that? I tried both.... That means you do not have control on phone & voice control.
To everyone else - yes the PAC is a steering wheel control switch for aftermarket head units. To Frenchie - the PAC module for Pioneer has been updated to use the phone buttons but not the voice command button; I haven't tried it yet though. Can you post here which wires to use and perhaps a small write up on the process of wiring and specifically programming?
