My mechanic just finished replacing my head gasket, but now we are unable to get my 2010 Prius to start. Immediately after turning on my car, I get a check hybrid system warning with P0A0F and P0A0D. After wiggling around the orange HV battery connector, P0A0D went away, leaving P0A0F. The engine will start for a few seconds, maybe 4 or 5 seconds, before shutting off and tripping engine code P3191, My battery is getting low, and I'm afraid of trying to start the engine any more for fear of killing the HV battery. 2010 Prius, 246K miles. As far as we can tell, all connectors are seated correctly. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I may be dealing with?
Edit: After turning on my car on the 12V only, I was able to read the following codes: P0113, P0112, P3190, P3191. I bet it's an airflow issue. I'll look into this in the morning. In the meantime, any advice or ideas would be much appreciated.
Update: I discovered that the PCV hose is not attached on the PCV valve side. I'm not very familiar with the PCV and what exactly it does, but could that cause an engine no start?
Absolutely, don’t ask how I know. Disconnected PCV hose is easy to overlook, since typically the connection is done after intake manifold installation: out of sight, out of mind.
