XM Radio in 2012 Prius 2?

    How easy is it to install XM Satellite Radio in a 2012 Prius 2?

    My dealer said it was extremely difficult to retro-fit and instead suggested getting a Prius 3 with XM already installed.

    Its supper easy, the panels just pop out, running the antenna wire to the back was fast and easy too.[​IMG]

    Where did you get mounting bracket? Where did you route the wires. This look very professional

    I thik I saw somewhere that for about $350 you can get a converter that will interface with the 2012 touch screen.

    We didnt want to activate the XM in the factory radio because we use our portable xm unit for our house/2 cars/walking/biking. Like i said, install was a snap, the dash justs snaps together and apart, no screws. I spliced into a hot wire behind the lower glove box and put in a 2 plug cigaret lighter unit. One for the xm step down plug and the other for the radar detector. Wife and I hate looking at wires. So nothing is exposed, and none of the factory power outlets are used. That cool xm mount i found at Proclipusa.com .
