    I'm not surprised about the VW, Jaguar and Land Rovers making it on the list. Mini Cooper seems semi-surprising, but its parent BMW has never been known for consistently good reliability. I am surprised about the Mazdas though...

    ...we had a 626 that died. So when you said Mazda I checked and bingo.

    Yeah, the Mazdas are older models. The Cx-7 is the newest and has been discontinued I believed.
    New Minis hold their value. There was some issues with the transmission in earlier models.
