#8 what a surprise! when it came out in 2009 we looked at it and Prius. Base Insight was cheaper but it did not have cruise control, when you add cruise control the difference btw Insight and Prius II was nothing. There is nothing to blame on a drop in gasoline prices Prius is much bigger car with 20% better MPG.
Unacceptable. Not having cruise on a vehicle to try and save a few bucks (and really how much can it save the manufacturer?) to make it more attractive is nuts. People associate hybrid with Prius, like they associate roller blading with an activity, they don't call it inline skating. The insight is smaller, worse on gas, less horsepower, AC cuts off at lights, etc. The smartfourtwo is surely the stupidest vehicle sold in the US now, and by a long stretch. It's patently garbageous.
