On the navigation system it tells me to turn in ___ yards. It also tells me miles for father distances but I have looked everywhere to try and change it to feet from yards . I don't do well with yards..this is 'Merica for chrisstakes! Does anyone know how to change it to feet?
3 feet equals one Yard. Yards are used in 'Merica (which includes Oklahoma for chrissakes) and England. Yardstick? 100 yards on a football field? First and ten yards to go? Metric is something else, but you would not get miles then, you would get kilometers (km). 100 yards are typically one city block so judge by that. It's usually a little behind when it says it so be ready to turn at the next street when it says 100-300 yards.
Does anyone else's show up as feet? Or does everyone have yards on their GPS? yeah I'm not in a fabric store or on a football field so I'd prefer feet...
Our Canadian setup Garmin indicates meters, roughly equiv. to yards. I do not know, find that just fine. When it's counting down to an intersection you have to turn at, yards (or meters) are very good "yardstick".
Ask your dealer if the latest GPS software has been loaded if the advance warnings aren't in time. Mine improved dramatically when they did an update. Too bad the US uses yards, but I'll bet when the advance warnings are timely, the problem will disappear as the warnings will be in time and you'll get used to them.
