Hey there! I was wondering how to get the bright deep yellow fog lights. Are they special light bulbs, or its just a yellow tint on the light enclosure? I'm taking about these lights if i didn't explain it right
Finding "french" yellow bulbs are difficult so some actually spray the reflectors (cheap) or swap the lenses (costly). Good thing it is totally reversible. You can get the yellow chrome paint at the auto parts store, the more you use the deeper it will be but it will be less bright. So consider that before you put too many coats right away. DO a layer at a time until you are happy with the look. Here is my 911 with sprayed reflectors on my H3 fog lights: Yellow is more pronounce when dark or in the rain ( the real reason for this use ) The benefit of doing this is when off they light look OEM
Nokya H11 halogen bulbs, deep yellow at 2500K in my projector foglights from priuschat member Chiezy: Nokya halogen bulbs are readily available from Amazon or eBay.
Some people like Putco: Amazon.com: Putco 230011JY Pure Halogen Headlight Bulb - Jet Yellow - H11 (Pair): Automotive But the Nokya bulbs are about half the cost and higher rated: http://amzn.com/B0064FXRWI
Update: HOT DAMN! That was the YELLOW I have been looking for, nice Deep color and coupled with my Yellow tint, it is more defined. Thanks again for the lead brother XlideRider!
