moderator note: split from KB OEM EV button thread While it does not add a physical button I use the feature supplied by CoastalTech to add this feature. They have a mod that allows you to use a pull on the speed control to turn this on. Since it is for low speed it does not impact the use of the speed control. I like it and the feature works well. It lets me stay on the battery until about 34 Mph which is great in rush hour traffic.
Guys, both of your replies are in improper areas and are unrelated to the KB article (OK Dalede, yours is close, but the KB article is for a very specific version of the mod). All this stuff has been covered ad nauseum elsewhere. Please try to keep threads like this on topic. I'm going to split this topic and put it somewhere else more appropriate.
