you drive a non-hybrid for the first time in a few years and you're amazed when the car does not slow down as quickly as a Prius does on a downhill exit ramp you take every weekday. I experienced this yesterday with my new Nissan Altima. It just didn't seem like the Altima was slowing down after I released the accelerator pedal. I had to use the brakes earlier than I expected to. Prius regenerative brakes - you gotta love em.
Ah, the runaway overdrive auto-trans. I also forget to get out the key when driving something different. Whenever I drive a non-Prius, I keep wondering why the engine isn't stopping, and feel ridiculous sitting at a stop with the engine running.
You know you've been driving a Prius for too long when every time you drive a different car you get a discomforting feeling, like you're doing something wrong, whenever you have to use those inefficient friction brakes.
This would be a great idea, incorporate the Prius key with your house key......but then the Toyota service guy will probably rob you.
... And then you hold your door bell pressed while you turn your front porch light on and off five times, in the hope that it might disable that really annoying beeping that the fridge makes if you have it's door open for too long.
You know you've been driving a Prius too long when ....... The cashier at the gas station Doesn't remember your name , and you dont remember the cashiers name either
....when you get into another car, and reach on the dash for the gear shifter ... DOH! Also, you know you've been driving a Prius for too long when you are driving another non-hybrid and coasting as much as possible, and start braking very lightly 3 miles before the red light up ahead
