Mendel, I've been trying to reach out and get a hold of Jack with Nexcell battery project lithium. I've had some serious issues with a V2.5 pack I installed. I pulled it out and put my old stock Toyota NiMH blades back in. I have some crazy photos....
Hey man. I see you had trouble with your V1 pack... I have the V2.5 pack and just had a catastrophic failure. If I didnt stop and take steps I'm sure my car would have caught on fire.....maybe I should have let it. regardless I have some crazy photos.
Hi Camper. I've tried to reach out to Jack to discuss an issue I've had with my Nexcell Pack for my Gen 2. Do you have a contact info for him. I'd like to see if I can solve my issue.
Glad to discover Toyota Prius here; limited to 400 characters. -- Upgraded beloved Gen3 to Gen4 Prime XLE. • Lost IMPORTANT storage EVERYWHERE • Everything slides...all over...every day. • No tie-down d-rings • PIA to adjust volume ...too slow (need a dial) • Expected turn-signal mirrors. Likely our last Prius unless Gen6 brings back utility.
do you know if any other Prius headunit will plug into same wiring harness? I just need BT for phone and back up camera. Thanks
I'd love the manuals. [email protected] Only second car that I have not had manuals for (in 70 years). Oh, and tell me how to get you that cup of coffee. Venmo or PayPal works for me, too.
Mendel, I recall that you installed TWO Oil Catch Cans on your prius. I have a 750ml one that I empty every oil change, but as there is still an oil buildup in the intake manifold. I am wondering if you end up getting much out of the second can when you drain it? And you have them mounted to the cross member between the radiators and the engine, right?
I found the second one scavenged more, albeit a lot more water than oil. Mine are mounted on the side of a bracket atop the lower/front cross beam, the one that serves as the front jack point.
Ok, thank you for the info. I will probably keep it as is for now, and will consider adding another one when I have a bit more time on my hands. Probably the second one will be smaller and located on the top of the engine since I am not sure how to mount one of the large cheap ones that I have in there now.
Heya. Appreciate your response on my post. Would you mind having a brief phone call or reviewing the data I sent? Much appreciated.
Yeah I'd like a copy of that service manual and the TSBs and all that for the 5th gen I would really appreciate it actually I can't understand why people don't do this for the other generations We used to do this over on Toyota models all the time
Hi Mendel, Do you know the location of the ECU module that controls the O2 upstream bank 1 sensor on 2012 Prius V?
I also need to install the same spring. However, when I view the 2 ?screws? , I cannot see how to remove them. They do not look like allen screws, phillips screws or torx screws. I hope they are not the plastic push-pins. Should I push on the center of the fastner to see what happens? How did you remove yours? Thanks
I was certainly not trying to stop or discourage discussions, just saying I enjoyed the links subforum within FHOP more when it only contained links messages and not commentary. I read here every day and enjoy the opposing views much more than ones I agree with. Just as I do the cartoons and memes.
