Hi there. I saw in your post that you cut the metal to allow for the seats to fold flat. I am doing the same thing with my 2012 Prius V but I can't access the metal on the larger bench seat. I posted pictures in the original thread. Would you happen to know how to access the hinge to cut the metal on that larger bench?? Thanks. https://priuschat.com/threads/rear-seat-modification-to-fold-flat.253244/
This won't stop removal show I don't believe I have some pics of engine and transmission out and separated if ya like I can e mail
Look at Chevy volts easily had for like 5K I've got two and 4 Prius. The Chevies are out pacing the Prius currently both bolts easily had under 60K I cannot find any Prius w under 100K for anywhere near that 5K. It's turned out to be quite something. I've been w Toyoda 47 years good luck .
Thanks. I've read mixed things about them. And I know the battery costs a fortune to replace, but I'll see what's available.
Hello! I am facing the same issue you reported 6 years ago regarding the prius A/C taking literally 45s to respond. Stays lit the auto mode, but nothing else comes on or responds to touch. After 45s it allows me to torn it on, but always at a default temp of 25°c. Did you ever find a solution for this issue? It’s been about 2 years since my ac started doing that and no one knows what the problem is. Thanks!
can you please send me a link to the Gen 5 service manual? My son is about to buy one. Thank you so much.
I'm experiencing almost the exact cooling light, actuator issue currently. What was/is the end of your story? Thanks in advance for your time.
Hi Joele3, I came across your post about replacing the Exhaust Gas Pipe Actuator. Would you mind telling me what symptoms lead you to replacing this piece? Also, it seems like a straight forward procedure with the diagrams and your thread now discovered. TIA for your time and insight.
id need to know abase price on it I cannot offer. I dont really need much other than the common ABS pump
Make me an offer including whatever components you need such as manifolds, coils, etc. You would have to pull it and have an engine crane, though I may be willing to be an extra set of hands. I’m shooting for more than LKQ prices but less than the random resellers on eBay. You can compression test and run it if you like. Engine is solid. Parting out only because of a little suspension and body panel damage.
I just posted this https://priuschat.com/threads/parting-out-gen-2-including-excellent-used-sodium-ion-battery.256136/ and then noticed your post. Let me know if you'd like more info.

I blew another tire of my2024 Prius LE that runs on Toyo tire 195/60R17. since got the car in January I've replaced 4 months later, got sun blinded and steered too close to the sidewalk, both right side tires blew. couldn't use the useless pump and kit that comes with the car
worst : no jack, nor tool to remove the tires to take an uber to the nearest tire shop. roadside assistance could only help if i had a spare tire ( Prius don't come with it!).
months later hit a bump lost another tire, yesterday luckily ii had bought a matching rim + tire i keep in my trunk(though oo heavy and big to carry and called AAA to put it on . so i just bough the new tire online $(158) and will have it mounted at a nearby tire shop. in summary i think the quality of those toyo tires is really questionable they make them too thin to save in weight and get more mpg.
i am thinking about parting out four prius 2004-2009. they have been sitting for 3 plus years is it worth it?
