. Hey Tom, Calling it a race car is the fastest way to filter out all of the Nay Sayers and arm chair engineers.. I really am using it to repower a 1946 Chevy truck. The airbag system was NOT needed but it absence is blocking the use of the cruise control.. So I am trying to figure out how to trick the cruise into working... I can share a build video with you if your interested..
Just seems to me that most of the mfgrs would do this similarly . In the grand scheme of things .if anybody would have an inkling would be this Chapman guy
Must be some kinda can bus language or such . I'd hate to think that everybody does this differently just because but intellectual property rights are funny things
What do you do when you're not worried about your Prius you're 47 years old in New York New York City something? Just curious
https://www.collinsautomotiveservice.com/Chittenango-electric-hybrid.html.... give them a call tomorrow they've done work for people here before they may be about an hour away I don't know
thanks tom. i actually called those guys on Saturday and made an appointment for the 10th. i am just waiting to hear a word from the dealership since the car is still with them.
Hi Mendel, hope you are doing well. Another one with the key not detected. All fob batteries fine, car aux battery fine, nothing plugged in aftermarket at all but car still not detecting key. It lock and unlocks with both fobs
I think the SD card you got may have software updates - for the Toyota models mentioned in the Amazon listing. You can browse SD card, check whether it has any 16TABDNA-AA01_1004.kwi or 16TABDNA-AA02_3004.kwi Otherwise, if you buy the TIS Professional membership, you can download updates for all your family and friends Toyota vehicles :)
Thanks for the info. Will have to get a microSD to usb reader. Haven't given up yet. When I added the new card things worked briefly then everything froze, includng info for songs playing via bluetooth from my Iphone. Very weird
Two years ago I updated my software to AA01_1004. The dealer wanted $120. So it was cheaper for me to buy a 2 day Professional membership to download the update for my Prime. https://techinfo.snapon.com/TIS/Register.aspx
My touch screen reboots occasionally and I'm considering updating it, but not sure if the 2 day membership fee is worth it. Do you know any other way to obtain the 16TABDNA-AA01_1004.kwi file?
That's a bummer :( You can read this Toyota bulletin and make a guess whether a software update will help or not. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10214352-9999.pdf You can press the buttons menu -> settings -> general -> software update -> update and it should show your present software. Whether you have the AA01 R10Axxxx or AA02 R20Axxxx
I've successfully used the 0e075 (2023) and 0e076 (2024) SD cards on 2017 11 inch Denso. Chose the cheapest vendor from Amazon. The thing to note is to ignore any initial error messages, when you first turn on the car with the new SD card. Persist turning on the car a few times and it should then work just like the original SD card. Waiting for 2025 0e077 to be under $20 :) Good luck!
@drizzle Thank you for the information. I found a 2025 0e077 for $24 on amazon. Will report back if it works in my 2020 Prime Limited.
Installed the new 2025 map micro SD into my 2020 Prime Limited. After overcoming the initial read error (doing a restart). The map freezes up so I do not feel it is compatible with my model and year.
so I got a 2025 0e077 a few days ago. With 0e077 the nav system operation is slower than molasses. It is ok rendering short trips. But when searching for POI or rendering long trips, the system works at a crawl or seems to hang. The prior 0e076 still works great.
Good day Cexo, going through some of your postings for Prius gen 4 engine swap, you used CH-R engine and you experienced some misfires. I used the same type of engine and experienced some form of misfires initially. As I drove more mileage, this misfires slowly became less obvious. Were you able to sort out the problem? Could you please get in touch, so we can exchange information and learn from each other.
You mentioned in your posting that you'd opened the battery on your Prius Plug-in, do you have any link to info about how to do it or did you just kinda work it out while doing it? Thanks in advance!
