The CD drive motor has started to run continuously. Nothing will make it stop, other than shutting down the whole car, and even then it runs for a while longer. Is there a fuze somewhere that I can pull? My guess is that the CD player (which still works) would have to be replaced and that doing that is several hundred dollars. Our Prius is 2006.
I had that happen once. I fixed it by disconnecting the 12V for a few minutes. You will lose your radio presets and have to reset a few other things. I think it got into some funcky state when playing an mp3 cd or something.
