Took the day off today and about 6 hours later I had the radio installed. I could not have done it without all the great posts here explaining the wiring and mounting, thanks!
What an amazing difference over stock. I had planned on putting in new speakers, but now I'll probably leave them in, at least for the next year or so. I really thought the speakers were the weak spot with the JBL, turns out they weren't as bad as I thought. Not as good as infiniti's, etc, but decent!
I'm currently looking at these two setups in 2ohm... but haven't pulled the trigger... JBL P660C Infinity Kappa 60.9cs then pairing it up with a good 4 channel... say...Polk Audio PA D4000.4 800W RMS, 4-Channel Class D PA Series Amplifier or even the Polk Audio PAD5000.5 900W RMS, 5-Channel Class D PA Series Amplifier and running a small subwoofer.
