My iPhone 5 hooks up fine by my bluetooth and I can make calls through the car or by clicking on the phone so connection is fine. I was surprised to see that when i hold the phone button down and it brings up the voice prompts (not SIRI but the handsfree) it asks me through the cars bluetooth for the name and recognizes my voice so i can actually tell the phone to call the person in the phones address book. However, once it completes everything the phone goes to the screen that looks like it's about to dial and then disconnects and shuts off the phone app. I'd love to be able to use this feature but don't seem to be able to. Any thoughts?
It should simply access the contacts it has downloaded from your phone and make the call. Check your "Settings" menu, Bluetooth, Paired-device list, and see if your phone is connected for "phone" functions. If it's also connected to another device, it may be giving you problems.
I can't download the contacts as it's an iPhone. It was accessing the contacts through my phone. But I'll check the settings. Thanks
There may be an option to load the contacts into the car using the USB connection. I saw it once in the menus, but I couldn't find it again.
In the car menus. I thought it might be easier than letting the car upload them from the phone each time.
