How to save and restore Navigation history and data?

    I want to upgrade the Navigation DVD in my Toyota Prius 2005. Right now the Map DVD screen reports it is at version 7.1 and I'm about to upgrade to a 13.1 DVD. When I do so, I believe all of the history of addresses I have entered in are wiped out. I would not enjoy copying them all down. Also, there are several "flags" I've layed down that I would like to save off and restore.

    Is there a way to download them to a separate harddisk or USB stick and then restore them?

    When I upgraded my Nav DVD I was pleasantly surprised that I did not lose any data.

    Yes that turned out to be the case for me as well.
