There is no range display. You only have some bars showing the level of gas in the tank. And you have average mileage at the MFD.
I think that might be pushing it for an older Gen 2 car. I would expect more like 500, but I always start looking for gas when the guage shows 2 blips, usually at 360 miles or so. I've never actually gotten down to one blip.
The OP doesn't have the fuel tank bladder with which to contend, so it will be quite reliable to fill up once the last "pip" starts flashing at > 800 km.
Though only at 45.5 MPG, I find it hard to go beyond 375 miles per tank without mildly scaring myself. It still amazes me that some of the Gen4 crew can manifest over 30 km/l on a single tank
Ah, had forgotten non-US Gen 2 cars don't have the bladder. I guess 600 miles would be possible then, just a little scary as @SFO notes.
I reset my consumption screen after I fill the tank (miles zero out automatically, but I zero out the average MPG also). I thin drive it and at about 300 miles on that tank I begin to take the average somewhat seriously. A that point I can take the displayed average, subtract a few points off it to be conservative (if it says 50mpg I figure 46mpg) and multiply that number by 10 gallons (the tank holds 11 and change, but again, to be conservative). That will make 460 miles of range on that tank with some fuel to spare. That's how I do it. There is really no good way to estimate at the beginning of the tanks as there is no history. If you fill up and go on a fast highway ride with 4 passengers and AC blasting (like I did last week), you will get a much different range than if you fill up and putt around town or commute to work on back roads. the difference can be pretty significant and I have never gotten 600 miles yet on this car (2007 with 190+k miles). 500 is more reasonable, but I consider this car to be a reliable 400 mile range car. I don't like to push it. There is no sense to it. 400 miles is very good range.
