My original radio works, i.e. it turns on and off, yet the static is impossible to listen to any radio stations. I'm wondering if anybody might have a fix or at least where I turn to find an answer. Could it be a mis-connected antenna wire, poor grounding, or simply my radio is dying? Can you toss me a bone?
Yes. Could be any of the above. An after-market stereo shop might be able to help.....at a reasonable cost.
Another possibility is water has leaked into the electronics in the base of the antenna. Also, you would want to check for continuity in the wire from the antenna base back to the back of the head unit.
