De-Nav’ing (I want the space under the seat)

    My MFD Nav is broken and I don’t plan to use it. I’d really like to reclaim the space under the driver’s seat for fun mods.

    1. Is there a Prius year that had the higher res screen, but only a 4-button MFD?

    2. I’m guessing it’s not as easy as unplugging a harness and removing NAV. Are there harnesses/stubs or components I’d need to pull from a junkyard Prius?

    I tried searching, but doesn’t seem anyone wants to do anything so foolish. :)

    You can do that, it will only put up an error message on the MFD if you try and switch to the Nav. You can push the harness back under the carpet to get them out of the way and out of sight.

    I'm not sure why you are asking about 4-button MFDs. Is your broken? You won't need to change from a 7-button MFD to a 4-button MFD, if that's what you're getting at.
