    Yes it's needed. I plugged them in and there is a noticeable flicker at the DRL power level.

    Is telling people to clean the EGR system a prank?

    I didn't take any flow measurements as I don't have the gear for it. And yes I did clean the small intake ports with small bottle brushes.
