Just got a Prius 3 days ago and love it so far. I have 2 question though. The is a jack 1/8 inch I'm guessing in the center are console. Can I plug my ipod into it? If not what is it used for? Also where are you Sirius users mounting your radio. In my Tundra I just have is suctioned to the glass. The depth of the Prius windsheild is too deep. Thanks
I went to radio shack and purchased a universal cell phone mount kit for $14.00 I attached the car holder to the center kick panel and hang my Sirius unit there...
Thanks, now what about the jack in the arm console. I went thru the manual again but can't find any info on it. The sales guy was no help either.

If you get a standard 1/8" patch cable, you can plug an iPod (or other favorite digital music player) into it. As I understand it, there is then a mode for the stereo that's called "Aux-In." It's one of the features of the '06 that makes all of us '04-'05 owners jealous.

Just tried it. Works like a charm for the Ipod and Sirius. Sound quality was excellent. Now, if they 2 jacks in their instead of one
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(FJRCRAZED @ Apr 19 2006, 07:21 PM) </div> First off, don't see why you'd need two jacks, as you're only going to be playing one at a time (i hope), but you should be able to go to radio shack and buy a splitter/joiner thingy to provide you with two jacks. wouldn't recomend it though, as there might be a risk of feedback from one unit trying to go into the other, and might damage it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(eagle33199 @ Apr 19 2006, 06:41 PM) </div> You're correct. It is permissible to split an output to feed a couple of inputs, but you shouldn't do the reverse. Don't combine two outputs with a simple splitter. The two devices will indeed "fight" if they're both running. Even if one is off, it can create an excessive load on the other, active device.
Thanks again for the info. The next thing I need to look into is how and where to mount both the Sirius and Ipod. I have plenty of room in my Tundra, not many in the Prius though.
