Hello, I have a 08 Prius at 111k. It SOMETIMES doesn't start until I jump start. I bought the battery from Pep Boys on September 2017. I went to Pep Boys and dealer to test the battery condition, they both say the battery is perfect. I checked all the fuses, none of them is blown but some of them are a little burned on sides, like AM2 fuse ("IGN" fuse, ignition system). I replace the fuse with spare fuse, but I'm still getting the codes. I used my Bluedriver scanning tool and here are the codes: ----Confirmed Trouble Codes Scan Report---- 0 Confirmed Trouble Codes Trouble Codes: ----Pending Trouble Codes Scan Report---- 0 Pending Trouble Codes Trouble Codes: ----Permanent Trouble Codes Scan Report---- 0 Permanent Trouble Codes Trouble Codes: ----Transmission Control Codes Scan Report---- 1 Transmission Control Trouble Codes: 1. C2318 Low Voltage Error (Power Supply Malfunction) ----Antilock Brake System Codes Scan Report---- 2 Antilock Brake System Trouble Codes: 1. C1241 Low or High Power Supply Voltage 2. C1242 Open circuit in IG1/IG2 Power Source Circuit Please help, Thank you...
Welcome to PriusChat!! How often/far do you drive this vehicle? Sounds like you are having 12v issues, and should look into potentially replacing the burnt fuses once you're done with the workup for the thrown DTCs. You will notice how you can narrow down some of the workup (below) by having the required 'detailed codes' for your thrown DTCs. Does your Bluedriver code reader supply the needed INFs or 'detailed codes' ?? Here is the workup for C1241 and C1242: https://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%94%B0%E6%99%AE%E7%91%9E%E6%96%AF%E5%8E%9F%E5%8E%82%E8%8B%B1%E6%96%87%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8Cpdf%E6%A0%BC%E5%BC%8F/Prius%20Service%20Manuals%202004/%E4%BF%AE%E7%90%86%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8C/04pruisr/05/21avn/cic12414.pdf And for C2318: https://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%94%B0%E6%99%AE%E7%91%9E%E6%96%AF%E5%8E%9F%E5%8E%82%E8%8B%B1%E6%96%87%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8Cpdf%E6%A0%BC%E5%BC%8F/Prius%20Service%20Manuals%202004/%E4%BF%AE%E7%90%86%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8C/04pruisr/05/21age/cic2318.pdf Without the INFs (detailed codes), the job of isolating DTCs C1241 and C1242 become more time consuming.
I drive every day and 30k per year. Bluedriver does not have that feature. How do I get the detailed code? Thank you very much.
