Hi. I was just wondering can you somehow turn the factory jbl amplifier on with aftermarket head unit? There is currently no sound coming out. Head unit starts normally and steering wheel buttons work. I have a line output converter for sub currently but planning to run rca's later.
I don't know how to edit, but it seems that my aftermarket amplifier wakes up through the line converter which is plugged in to the oem jbl amp. Does this mean the jbl amp wakes up tho?
I seem to remember you have to set the volume of the JBL at somewhere like half volume before removing the stock head unit. This is so that there is a sufficient signal level for the new head unit. Could this be a consideration for you?
