Problems with Pioneer AVH-501EX

    My 2007 has an after market Pioneer AVH=501EX. I didn't install it. I have 2 basic problems. First, the AM band is pretty much unusable due to static/interference possibly with the cars's electrical system. Second, it will not connect with Bluetooth because it thinks the parking brake is not on. Are there any pins or wires that I can jump to defeat this feature or can the radio be programmed to eliminate it. I don't know whether the brake switch works but the parking brake does work correctly.

    My wife has a Pioneer unit. IIRC the purple wire needs to be connected. There is a new $9.99 in line resitor you can buy to fool the radio into thinking the parking brake is on. Its called a parking brake bypass.
