Hey y'all.. Looking to work on this project again. I want to upgrade my 2005 JBL Prius MDF (47081) with a 2007 MDF. I know I need to re-wire the M13 connector. The forums speak of a 6 pin M14 that is needed for the newer MDF. I can get a M14 connector to make that portion work. But what about all the other wires and connectors I have. I am pretty sure those are JBL specific. Has anyone re-wired their 2005 JBL to work with the newer 47230 MDF? And since this isn't complicated enough... can I add the 2007 back up camera to the 2007 MDF? I know I will more than likely need to run the wires from the trunk to the MDF.. and again... what wires go to what plug. Any help will be appreciated. I hear the @ChapmanF is THE electronics guru. I'd love to hear your input on this issue.

There's more than one electronics guru. :) This is not a project I've ever undertaken on a gen 2 so I probably don't have a lot to offer, but I do know where you can find the wiring diagrams:

Pay attention to how Toyota uses numbered asterisks in the diagrams to show wires / circuits / pins that are used in some option trims and not in others; those are where you will see what you've got to change if you're bringing something in from a different trim.
