i just carry a full size spare from a junkyard. It was a lot cheaper and you can go full speed as long as you want.

    Just my 2-cents

Yep, we had a flat in our 2017 Prius and was thankful she had the donut spare....but I wasn't impressed with the little thing....glad we didn't have to drive very far back home.

So when my 2021 Prius AWD had the stupid "fix a flat" kit, only, I researched prices and found the donut prices were about $100 more than just buying a cheap full-size rim and tire so now just have a full sized tire in the back. If I need more room for storage in the trunk, the tire can, also, be stored behind the passenger seat, on the floor. (I keep the spare covered in a vinyl cover so the black rubber doesn't rub off on anything.)
