I bought my Prius at the end of last September just in time for the full tax credit. I never saw a tank above 50 mpg, and have been waiting patiently for the warmer weather and looking forward to breaking that barrier (finally). Through this morning I had 54.9 mpg over 183 miles. The temperature had dropped to about freezing this morning and a strong cross/headwind I now have 54.2 mpg over 190 miles. Working the math backwards I got only 40 mpg on this morning's commute. Yikes. I hope it warms up again soon!

Many of us know how you feel. May our day come soon. Don't sweat it.
yeah i filled up last night and got an excellent start to this tank for the conditions (~59 mpg) and this AM it was in the 40s F (single digits C) and i got caught behind a slow moving garbage truck with the engine warming up... i am now at 44

My mileage is hovering a little below 50 mpg, but only that high because I've driven into Spokane twice in the last couple days. The 15 mile warm up followed by bigger city driving helps a lot. I was just going on a little rant. I'm not too worried. It'll get better I'll have to look into all of that blocking stuff for next winter. I was too lazy to do anything for this winter.
