Just wondering if even an HD adapter for (2004) Prius radios is around or proposed. One just for the 2006+ would be really depressing...

Due to unexplainable laziness I never did install the DICE iPod adapter, so if this device plus the optional cable can be rigged to do both jobs I'll be very happy. Unless I never install this either...

I have been waiting for a good way to get HD radio in my 2007 Prius. Is it 180.00 for the box and the cable to hook it up? I don't have an IPOD now and don't see one in my future. I'm waiting for a review.
Can this be installed without taking the car to an audio shop? What all does the installation entail? From the picture it looks like it only comes with one cable... I assume the 'box' goes under the passenger seat?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(narf @ Jun 11 2007, 04:06 PM) </div> What with the rebateable purchase period ending July 3, any word on how well it integrates with the Prius?...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mikepaul @ Jun 19 2007, 09:41 AM) </div> I have had one in my Prius for nearly a year now. The current generation has been stable in the Prius.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Vagabond @ Jun 19 2007, 08:49 AM) </div> Am I dreaming, or did I see a post about HD Radio/iPod unit being available for $200+ (including installation) somewhere like Costco? I'd put one in, but just don't feel like spending the weekend pulling the dashboard out....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Black2006 @ Jun 20 2007, 09:38 AM) </div> it's not hard, if you're really cautious it'll take you 2 hours.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Vagabond @ Jun 20 2007, 10:11 AM) </div> Thanks. I just ordered one, with the iPod cable. Two questions: 1. Would the iPod option allow me to see the playlist on the MFD and operate it through the MFD? If so, is it affected by the idiotic Toyota nanny feature, which prevents operation while the car is moving? 2. I just saw this http://priuschat.com/DICE-for-iPod-kills-M...ice-t34094.html. Is this the same iPod connector, and if so, is this an issue we should worry about?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Black2006 @ Jun 23 2007, 05:03 PM) </div> You'll be able to see the current song playing, and if you're scrolling through your playlists you'll see the first song in the playlist before it starts playing. He has an 2005, his issue is depandent on the computer system - 2006+ have a faster computer and isn't prone to lockups.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Vagabond @ Jun 24 2007, 01:35 AM) </div> Thanks, Vagabond. Just so I understand, would I be able to navigate my iPod content on the MDF? In other words, would I be able to see, for instance, my "Albums" folder on the MFD, then be able to select a particular album and play it? Also, what about using the MDF to navigate while the car is moving? (I already have the Navigation bypass module (under the seat.))
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Black2006 @ Jun 24 2007, 11:09 AM) </div> No, you can only see what's currently playing. You'll be able to press up and down to go through them, but you won't see the album name on the screen before you start playing it. You'll be able to keep full functionality even if the car is moving.
