Hi - I was looking at buying a 2 GB iPod Shuffle to use in the Prius and while exercising. I also looked at other iPod like MP3 players and found a Coby MP-C596. It is a 2 GB model & holds 500 songs. Does anyone have a Coby or has anyone used a Coby MP3 player? The Coby MP-C596 looks really nice and has great reviews on the Internet. It also has a FM tuner so I can use it when I exercise. By the way, where do you buy the cable to go from your iPod or other MP3 player to the Prius aux input? Thanks.
I can't speak to the model you are talking about, but someone at work bought a really cheap Coby for some work were doing and it was a complete piece of junk. But, that is not to say that their higher end models might not be decent. However, I would be a bit careful - I have nothing against them but it is not exactly a name that inspires confidence when it comes to consumer electronics.
The cheapest of the cheap. The biggest tip off is the fact that the "COBY" logo is written in the same font and style as "SONY"
