I have a 2008 pck #6 prius. I haven't had problems with the phone bluetooth to this point. I manually connect, as my phone isn't totally compatible. BUT, today I got in after my husband drove it yesterday and there is NO phone ICON to be found on the screen! It seems to have completely disappeared and I need your help figuring out what to do to reset the system or whatever to get back to where I was. Suggestions? Thanks!
Did he park in a bad neighborhood? You should check the charge in your HV battery too. Someone might have siphoned it. Were you driving when you noticed the lack of a phone icon? Some of the functions are locked out when the car is moving. Tom
Try the phone icon on the steering wheel. If that's missing you have a problem. I don't recall a phone icon on the screen on my Pkg 6 until I bring it up from the wheel.
The bluetooth can only connect to one phone at a time. Did he register his phone with your Prius yesterday?
Thanks for the response. My husband says that he didn't consciously register his phone with my prius yesterday, as he has his own blue tooth head set he uses. I drove the prius tonight and the phone icon suddenly showed up on the info screen for awhile. Later, when I started the car again, it wasn't there. I am baffled.
There have been some posts here that a cell phone in close proximity to the smart key (e.g. same pocket, next to each other in a bag, etc.) interferes with the operation of the smart key and sometimes drains the battery of the smart key. Could your problem be similar where your key is interfering with your phone?
Good question. I do store them i the same pocket of my bag. But, I've done that since January and have never had a problem. Why would the phone icon suddenly no appear on the screen?
I have a package 6 and I still don't know what this "phone icon" is that you speak of on the Info screen. Got a manual page where it's mentioned?
