Yeah! We do have some charging loss, every time we charge. About 12%-15 %. I just figure 15% and add it to the cars total to compensate.

Well, I agree. It's the loss between the outlet and usable EV range in the batter after charge. I don't really no how to put it I guess.

Some people add 12-15% to the electric kWh because of electric loss from the wall. YMMV.
The only time I heard the fan on my 05 was when my back seats were down, same thing on my 2012 plug-in. Maybe getting old ears! :)

Let the car do the thinking on when to use Electric, it knows best. You may try EV for parking car or putting in garage, or moving around parking...
It will not shut off by it self, you must turn car off.
If the ICE is warm, and if you have plenty of Electric in battery, then when you start your car it will be in electric mode, then the car will go...
I would think you should be able to order one from a good dealer.
